The following courses MUST HAVE successful completion of the Skull Drag Tactical Basic Course or be a Former/ Current SWAT Member, DOD with proven light weapons training. DOE, DOS (WPS) Certified, or Air Marshal Certified.

There is no such thing as advanced shooting; there is only the advanced application of the basics regarding tactical shooting and tactical firearms training. Solid fundamentals trained to muscle memory allow you to focus more on the mission. A solid base of fundamentals provides the ability for marksmanship on demand in combat shooting. Special Operations training for Special Missions Units focuses on the fundamentals. AR/ Tactical Rifle Marksmanship Fundamentals

TWO-DAY CARBINE AND PISTOL COURSE                                            

This course covers unconventional shooting positions, transitioning to sidearms, malfunction drills, and shooting from behind cover.

It will significantly increase the skill level of any marksman utilizing a semi-automatic carbine and pistol. The course will consist of approximately 1 hour of instruction on firearm safety, firearm operation, and the safe and correct way to handle and operate both weapon systems on and off the range.

The initial instruction will be followed by 12 hours of drills involving various shooting positions, distances, speed work, and movement-to-contact shooting drills.

These drills will primarily originate from a static position and end with doing them on the move.

They are designed to improve speed and accuracy from a stationary shooting platform.

Upon completing this course, the student will thoroughly understand firearm safety, firearm operation, and the ability to engage multiple targets with multiple shots standing still or moving.

Course Objective: The student will gain high confidence in safely handling and operating an AR-type rifle and handgun, which will show substantial improvement in accuracy and speed of target engagement while standing still or moving.

 Enabling Objectives:

General firearms safety

Verify safe loading and unloading procedures and proper clearing of weapons.

Operation and manipulation of the AR/ Tactical type rifle and handgun

Sights, zeroing considerations, techniques, slings, and equipment

Placement, kit considerations, holster manipulation.

Reloading and malfunction drills

Fundamentals of Rifle and Pistol Marksmanship

Shooting positions stationary and moving Multiple target engagements

Prerequisite: Completing the Skull Drag Basic Course or PROOF of equivalent course completion.

Understanding of firearms safety and operation.

Optical sight for carbine (optional, but highly recommended) Will zero/ confirm sight zero.

Pistol with 3 magazines and holster

Belt, LBE, or protective vest

Ladies ONLY Carbine Course (4 - 6 hours)

For Ladies Only. This course is for the ladies who want to learn to properly use their Carbine and begin to acquire the proper firearms skills with it. Gain an understanding of essential self-defense skills with the Carbine in a safe and supportive environment.  After this course, the shooter will walk away with newfound confidence and an identifiable loss of fear for this weapons system.

Learn proper zeroing and sighting for your choice of sights and optics. All manipulations will be thoroughly taught as they apply to your weapon system.  You will fire from various conventional and unconventional shooting positions, and our instructors will show you how to get into and recover from sitting, kneeling, and prone variations. This course also includes an introduction to low-light and no-light shooting techniques.

Tactical Rifle Courses and AR Marksmanship Fundamentals

Learn the weapon from the ground up. The Introduction to the Tactical Rifle is designed for the beginning AR- platform shooter. The shooter will learn everything necessary to: Inspect, maintain and operate the AR platform weapon. This course is appropriate for all Ages and experience levels. Shooters will also conduct detailed weapon setup, zeroing, grouping, and leave with solid confidence in their rifle.
